Just a quick FYI...
Tanya, my Toshiba laptop, is currently in repair. Tanya's been a trooper. She's been with me for five years! That makes her practically a dinosaur in technology years. Unfortunately, right now it is unclear whether she'll make it or not.
I'll still take my daily pictures, but my blog updates will probably be less frequent until I can figure out semi-stable way to upload pictures. Thank you for your patience and support! (And please send Tanya some good vibes hahaha!)

As part of my internship with Streetside Stories, I help set-up and run a monthly event (Tell It Like It Is!) for anyone interested in learning more about our organization. Hopefully people are so touched by our work that they are inspired to help out through volunteering, donating, or referring us to some one they know who would want to know about our work.

(*Sidenote: Did you know they were about to paint the GG Bridge black with yellow stripes? But the original architect pushed for the now famous orange color. WOW.)

My first brewery tour of Firestone Walker, a California Central Coast brewery!
Extra yeast = extra overflowing foam. According to our host, this was a rare picture opportunity:
Just FYI, Firestone Walker is 1 of 2 breweries in the US to age its ales in American Oak barrels:
The yellow tube carries the beer around the brewery to the different parts of the factory (from the beginning hot water+yeast+hops mixture to the oak barrels for aging to the bottling process):
The awards from various beer festivals and competitions:

Just another fun fact about firestone: since it's only a mid-size brewery it's only available on the west coast (for now). Yay for California beer!

You'd expect to find vandalism in bathroom stalls in middle school and some high schools. And the occasional water & soap toilet paper stuck to the ceiling in elementary school. But childish bathroom stall banter in college? It's kinda disappointing CCSF...

How I spent my 4th of July: shopping for new home goods.
I came away with a family of Sistema tupperware products, all bpa free and microwave safe.
And the crown jewels of these babies: the lunch cube. Comes with three different compartments that fold nicely like origami into a cube container.
Again, more of my nerdy-ness showing. But it's ok. I love shopping for home stuff and I'm proud of it!

This kid cracks me up! I didn't even recognize him when he walked in today! He looked like a zombie. HAHA. Apparently he had his face painted over the weekend like a pirate and fell asleep before they could wash it off. This morning they tried washing it off, but it stuck. Poor baby...but still quite hilarious. A mini Uncle Fester maybe? or maybe Lurch (the butler)?
